Since moving to Pearl City, we were initially sad that we were so far from our favorite Thai place in town – Pattaya Thai (which has since closed).

However, lucky for us, there’s a place literally a one-minute drive away that has yummy Thai food! THAI LAO.

They have clean and ample seating inside if you prefer to dine in, but usually we like to do take out and eat in the comfort of our own home and watch Netflix 🙂

We always start out with their shrimp summer rolls.  They are a good portion, good consistency/texture, and served with a delicious peanut sauce.  (*Alex doesn’t care either way, but preferably, I like my summer rolls without cucumbers and carrots lol – but here, they serve it with everything and can’t modify it)

Another “must have” for us every time is the shrimp pad see ew.  It is essentially like look fun (thick and flat) noodles, shrimp, and green veggies with an amazing savory sauce and garlic.  It’s VERY addicting 🙂  And, since I am a wimp when it comes to spice, we get it not spicy haha.

One time when we ordered, I remembered to take a picture of pineapple beef curry – which I never tried before.  It was creamy with a slight citrus taste, and tasted so good over the sticky rice (not pictured).

Some other things we have eaten and enjoyed from here are the Mango Sticky Rice (for dessert – yum!), green curry, and yellow curry.  All delicious!  Oh, and they have pho here (yes, pho at a thai restaurant lol), and it is pretty delicious and huge for the price 🙂  Score: a solid 8/10

Overall, I would definitely recommend this place if you are craving Thai food!  They have several locations, but I have only been to the Pearl City location.
