Grape Jelly Meatballs

Okay, so this is far from an elaborate post, but I make this often, and it’s SO easy to make, so I just thought I’d post for your information 🙂

Grape Jelly meatballs might sound a little weird, but mixed with delicious BBQ (or heinz chili) sauce and slow cooked in the crock pot, it makes for a sticky, sweet, savory and addicting sauce!

I initially got this recipe from Sweet Baby Ray’s website (you can find the recipe here), and ever since Alex tried it, it has become one of his favorites.

You only need three ingredients for this recipe:

  • 2 lb bag of frozen, prepared meatballs
  • 1 32 oz. of grape jelly
  • 18 oz. BBQ sauce (I used Sweet Baby Ray’s of course! – my favorite) (alternatively, I heard using Heinz Chili Sauce is good too!)

Once you throw all the ingredients into the crock pot, cover and cook on high for about 2 hours (or on low for 4 hours) stirring at least once during the cooking process. That’s it!  You can then eat it alone, or pair it with mashed potatoes or rice.  Personally, I like it with jasmine rice so I can pour some of the sauce on top 🙂
